Thanks for considering supporting the Church in this way! Supporting Churches is an important use and one that doesn’t have to be monetary.

Just as Churches are primarily spiritual, so is Charity. Yet, we read in the Teachings for the New Church:

“What is charity? Each one of you can understand that charity is spiritual in its essence, and natural in its practices.” (True Christian Religion 459)

Church in its essence is Spiritual and Natural in practice. Money is a natural way to support the Church, even though the core of what we do is Spiritual.

Thank you for all you to do improve the vitality of the church!

Ways to give:

Online

Go to the General Church website.

On that page, you’ll see there are lots of different ways to do this.

Fill out the form beneath the “Donating Online” heading. Where it says, “Please direct my support” click the drop-down menu and select “Local Church Congregation.” It will then ask you for information like name and email etc. When you click “continue” you will be asked for optional comments. In this field, write “Contributions: Midwest USA District.”

Check

At Church on Sunday you can put Cash or Checks in the offertory bowl.

If you are writing a check, make it out to the “Midwest New Church”

Giving stock

On the General Church website, there is information on how to give stock, but very important to it working is contacting Mark Wyncoll. When a gift of stock appears in the General Church account, it does not let them know where to put the proceeds. By Contacting Mark, you can specify where you would the money go.
