Mac Frazier<\/h2>\n

Rev. Glenn \"Mac\" Frazier became the Senior Pastor at Washington New Church in 2019. His previous roles include serving as Associate Pastor at Glenview New Church in Glenview, Illinois, Founding Pastor of New Way Church in Austin, Texas, Assistant Pastor at Bryn Athyn New Church in Bryn Athyn, PA, and Assistant to the Pastor of the Pittsburgh New Church. In addition, he currently serves on the Outreach Committee of the Board of Directors for the General Church of the New Jerusalem, on the Bishop's Consistory for the General Church, and as Vice President and Director of New Church Challenge, a charitable organization that serves people with special needs.<\/span><\/p>\n

Rev. Frazier earned his MDiv from the Academy of the New Church Theological School in Bryn Athyn, PA, in 2006. Prior to attending theological school, he was an executive at Refinery, Inc., an industry leading Internet technology firm he co-founded in 1994, and later sold in 2007.<\/span><\/p>\n

Outside of work, Rev. Frazier enjoys playing ice hockey, engaging in musical pursuits such as playing the piano, guitar, ukulele, bass, and drums, and pursuing the arts of smoking barbecue, and cooking in general. He is also a voracious reader and a fan of games of all kinds. He and his wife have been married since 1994, and have four adult children and a ridiculously friendly dog.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Brian Smith<\/h2>\n

Assistant Pastor<\/h5>\n

Rev. Brian Smith moved to Mitchellville in 2015 to become the Assistant Pastor. Brian comes to us after 6 years of service in the Toronto church, where he served as the school\u2019s principal for 3 of those years.\u00a0 He has a Masters of Divinity from the Theological School at Bryn Athyn College (BAC), and a wealth of experience in various international locations including Ghana, South Africa and Australia. Brian is an alumnus of the Washington New Church School, one of the important uses of the Washington New Church.\u00a0 In addition to his church administrative duties, he is principal of the Washington New Church School, providing leadership to the faculty, leading whole school chapel and teaching religion to the 5th \u2013 8th grades.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
